MY NEW BABY!!!

My New Car! Current mood: chipper Category: Automotive

K, So here is my exciting news everybody!

I got a new car!!! Yay, i know... i have been pondering this purchase for pretty much years now.

I went test driving cars. The first night i went with Daren, i decided that we should start at the Subaru lot cuz i had my eye on the STI.

BIG Mistake. I wanted to test drive lots of other cars too. i had a list with 15 vehicles on it, and by starting with my favorite i was comparing every car with the Subaru's.

At the Subaru lot the dealer asked us if we wanted to look at the Legacy too. I wasn't too excited about it, i figured i didn't really want a full sized sedan. Once i got in it though, i quickly took stock of the situation. This car was freakin sexy! I know the STI had an extra 50 hp to this one but wow. The legacy was so Nice. And FAST, just drivin all normal and then all a sudden, vwoooom, the turbo kicks in and totally throws ya back in the seat.

But alas, those were just the first cars on my list, so i had to continue down auto row on state street. We stopped at Nissan and looked at the Altima v6. The dealer there was so rude! he really truly pissed me off, actin like Daren and I were just there to bug him. It must have been a real pain in his bohonkus to take us on a test drive. when we got back to the lot after drivin the Altima i spied an Infinity G35. I asked him if we could also drive that one and he answered by saying, "If you have to." I told him i was pretty sure that i needed to drive that car. We ended up not driving it, but based on the service received i wouldn't have bought a vehicle there anyways.

That was Saturday, on Monday i went back to the Subaru dealership to see if the black legacy was still there. I had fallen in love with that car. I even named her Pandora. But, dang it! she was gone :( , they did have another legacy though, so Curtis and I drove that one, and the STI. Curtis couldn't keep his foot off the freakin pedal in that car. I'd be trying to talk to the dealer, and he would shift down and romp it. I'd smack him, "Would ya quit?" He'd be good for a little minute and then he'd be right back at it.

After that we went down to Ford and drove a Mustang GT. The odd thing was that the dealer just handed us the keys and said, "Don't be too hard on it." Yes, sir, we'll take it easy, NOT. That was fun too, it was just a different sort of power. Way more beefy feeling. ALL AMERICAN MUSCLE! Curtis took that one pretty darn fast on the interstate, and drifted all the way up the on ramp. When we got back to the dealership, the salesman came back out to meet us and i opened the trunk and it totally smelled like burned rubber. Oops! :)

We drove some others too, Civic SI, Acura RSX-S were the main ones. Terribly disappointing. :(

I decided i wanted the Legacy, so i started my search. I found a 2005 Legacy GT silver at Nate Wade Subaru and decided that that was the one for me.

So i guess y'all will have to meet my new baby!

Possible names are Zeus, Aphrodite, Phaedra, Afton and Storm, and Phoenix.
